Archewell Productions, which is owned by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, announced its first series for the streaming service on Tuesday. “Heart of Invictus” is a multi-episode docu-series created in collaboration with the Invictus Games Foundation, of which Prince Harry is a patron. Prince Harry will feature in the series and act as an executive producer.
The series “will follow a group of extraordinary competitors from around the world, all service members who have suffered life-changing injuries or illnesses on their way to the Invictus Games The Hague 2020, now scheduled to take place in 2022,” according to the creators.
It’s the most recent in a series of events for the couple. The couple has a contract with Netflix to create content, and they’re both collaborating on podcasts for Spotify. Prince Harry has since joined the business world as a leader with BetterUp Inc., an organization that specializes in employee coaching and mental wellbeing. The couple is now living in California, where they are trying to untangle their lives from the British royal family.
“Since the very first Invictus Games back in 2014, we knew that each competitor would contribute in their own exceptional way to a mosaic of endurance, commitment, and resolve,” the Duke of Sussex, who is the founder of The Invictus Games and The Invictus Games Foundation, said about the latest docu-series. This series will provide a window into the inspiring and moving stories of these competitors as they prepare to compete in the Netherlands next year. I couldn’t be more excited for the journey ahead or prouder of the Invictus community for consistently inspiring global healing, human potential, and continued service as Archewell Productions’ first series with Netflix, in collaboration with the Invictus Games Foundation.”
British director Orlando von Einsiedel and producer Joanna Natasegara are in charge of the project.
